Ute Energy LLC was formed in 2005 by the Ute Indian Tribe to capitalize on the commercial rights to participate in the exploration and development of the Tribe’s mineral estate. Ute Energy is focused on oil and gas exploration and development, midstream and other facilities along side its reputable industry partners in Utah’s Uinta Basin.
About The Ute Indian Tribe
The Ute Tribe is located in the Uinta Basin of Eastern Utah. The Ute Tribe’s vast energy estate is generated from the Reservation land base, which has exterior boundaries encompassing over 4.5 million acres. The Ute Tribe owns approximately 1.2 million surface acres and has a net mineral ownership of approximately 
1 million acres. The Uinta Basin is one of the most active areas of oil and natural gas development in the western United States.
Current Projects
Ute Energy has over 400,000 acres of leased lands, nine active drilling programs, a proven developed asset base with over 6,300 prospective locations, a diversity of projects including exploration and development, midstream and other facilities, all structured to manage risk.
